Cricket Without Boundaries sends kit to Sierra Leone, and South African Cricket Legend Peter Kirsten
Cricket Without Boundaries is delighted to announce that, thanks to the generosity of Sussex CCC, we have been able to send a hard ball cricket kit out to Sierra Leone.
The Sierra Leone Cricket Association received the kit ahead of taking part in the ICC-Africa Regional WCQL Division 2 tournament in South Africa under the coaching of South African cricket legend Peter Kirsten.
Sierra Leone Cricket Association’s Timothy Albone said,
“The guys are totally over the moon [they’ve] never had anything like it.
“I think it is safe to say Sussex is now the most supported county in Sierra Leone!
“I can’t thank you enough.”
CWB’s Andy Hobbs said,
“Cricket Without Boundaries is committed to developing the game in Africa and we are delighted to send a much needed hard ball kit to the Sierra Leone team ahead of the tournament.
“CWB has experience coaching cricket all over Africa, and we’ve seen what a huge difference quality kit on the ground can make.
“With Peter Kirsten on board, it’s clear that the association in Sierra Leone are taking the game seriously, and Cricket Without Boundaries is delighted to help out however we can.”
