12th – 27th FebruaryFebruary 2011 seven English volunteer coaches joined local cricket development officer and former Kenya International David Asiji for two weeks of intensive cricket development. Over the 15 days we had an unforgettable time coaching well over 1,000 children, qualifying 126 new coaches and running a tournament for ten schools, twenty teams and 200 children.
We travelled from Nairobi to Nakuru, Kericho, Nanyuki and the remote Maasai town of Doldol. On our way we coached on a game reserve at Ol Jogi and in an orphanage for children with HIV and AIDS in Tumaini.
The project was an incredible experience for all and real a privilege to be part of.
