Botswana 2009
CWB's first official team to Botswana consisted of Will McLaren-Clark (Project Leader), Mark Aylward, Tony Morbin, Mike Griggs (ECB Tutor), Allan Parker-Reed, Veronique Cowan-Goussant, Veronika Reeves and Michael Reeves. Based in Gaborone, the team ventured north to Mochudi in week one, then coached in and around 'Gabs' and in Ramotswa during week two. Over the fortnight, just over 1300 children from 18 government schools were coached during our afternoon sessions and we also managed to train 57 teachers through their preliminary ICC coaching qualification,. The team also found time to visit the SOS Village in Tlokweng which gives hope to many children who have been affected by the HIV/Aids pandemic. Special mention must go to Botswana Cricket Authority who offered us incredible support and we look forward to returning to Botswana in 2010 to build on the foundations that have been laid down this year.
