Volunteer now

Volunteers are at the heart of Cricket Without Boundaries’ work. From volunteering on 2-week mass-participation focused projects in our partner countries in sub-Saharan Africa, to giving time in the UK to continue to grow and develop the work of the charity and deliver our UK-based projects.

International Volunteering

Volunteer to spend 2 weeks in Rwanda, Kenya or Uganda, helping us develop and grow cricket-for-good, in partnership with National Cricket Associations.

Our international projects provide an amazing opportunity to make a genuine impact - you will help ensure that children in communities around the world enjoy the thrill of participating in fun, inclusive sport, by working as part of a team of fellow volunteers, in-country coaches, and CWB Ambassadors to deliver mass-participation sessions at schools and cricket festivals.

At the same time, you will help make a difference to a community by delivering positive health and social messages through your coaching, using our integrated learning model. Coach education and mentoring will run throughout the two weeks to support sustainability of CWB’s work year round.

Each project team includes 8-10 volunteers, with a mix of coaches and non-coaches to ensure diverse skills and knowledge. A background in cricket is not essential for participation and we welcome volunteers with a wide range of experiences. A positive attitude, passion for working with others and willingness to make a difference are, however, essential!

We provide full training and support and our projects run in the Spring and Autumn so there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. We ask all our volunteers to raise a minimum of £950 (£750 for return volunteers) to cover the costs of the project, including transport, accommodation and most importantly the cricket equipment that is left in the country. Not covered in your £950 are flights, insurance, vaccinations, malaria pills and food and drink.
