Overview

Locally led cricket, strengthened through partnership.

Cricket Without Boundaries works with cricket associations, community organisations, schools, coaches and young people to make cricket more inclusive and connect the game with locally important health and social issues.

Our programmes are built around long term partnerships and year-round local delivery. CWB adds coach education, funding, programme development, equipment and targeted volunteer support according to what partners identify as useful.

How Cricket Without Boundaries Works

Local partnerships
Local partnerships
Programmes are developed with organisations and leaders who understand their communities and cricket context, while building in opportunities for young people to also contribute.
Coach development
Coach development
Practical education helps local coaches and tutors create fun, safe, inclusive and player-centred cricket. Wherever possible, we use globally recognised ICC qualifications to support long-term employability.
Year-round delivery
Year-round delivery
Local coaches and CWB. Ambassadors lead regular sessions, competitions and Cricket+ activities. This is powered through grants provided by CWB and our partners and collaborators.
Cricket+

Games and discussion connect cricket with themes such as gender equality, refugee inclusion and youth leadership. Custom playbooks and resources support our coaches and others around the world use cricket for good.

CWB volunteer visits support work that is already led locally and continues throughout the year. Projects are planned with partners around what will add the most value at that point.

Their contribution adds short-term capacity and new perspectives to strong local leadership. Volunteers also return home with relationships and learning that continue beyond the visit.

Integrated Learning

Integrated learning is delivered year-round, by Ambassadors, partner organisation coaches and CWB Volunteers, to help achieve the health and social aims of each project.

Adapted games, active group discussions, and education using metaphors from the game of cricket, work together to create an environment where players learn from their coaches and peers, and coaches learn from their players.
