For over twenty years, CWB has partnered with cricket associations, local organisations and coaches to deliver cricket coaching combined with education around key social issues — including gender equality, health awareness, and community inclusion. Volunteers don’t need to be cricket experts; they simply need passion, openness, and a willingness to get stuck in.

Two weeks that make a lasting impact
Each project brings together UK volunteers and local partners to:

Run inclusive cricket sessions in schools and community hubs
Train local teachers and coaches to sustain programmes long-term
Support messages around health, equality, and life skills
Create opportunities for girls and young people who are often excluded from sport
Volunteers gain hands-on coaching experience, cross-cultural learning, leadership skills, and unforgettable memories — while contributing to work that continues long after the two-weeks ends.

Open to volunteers from all backgrounds

No prior coaching or charity experience is required. CWB provides:

Clear pre-trip briefings on culture, safeguarding, and project context
Travel planning guidance and coordination support
In-country guidance from experienced project leaders
On-the-ground partnership links with local organisations
What matters most is enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to teamwork.

Fundraising

To cover the costs of the project including transport, accommodation and most importantly the cricket equipment that is left in country, we ask all volunteers to raise a minimum of £950 for the charity. This is reduced to £750 for our returning volunteers. Not covered in the fundraising are flights, insurance, vaccinations, malaria tablets, DBS and food and drink. We also ask volunteers to cover the cost of participating in the training weekend.
