Help Us Refurbish Toilet Facilities for Girls in Rajbiraj, Nepal
The PABI school ground in Rajbiraj, Nepal is a cherished space for the local community, where boys and girls come together daily to participate in cricket sessions. These sessions are more than just about sports—they provide a space for empowerment, teamwork, and skill development for the youth of the region. With coaches trained by Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB), both boys and girls have a chance to thrive. However, inadequate facilities, particularly the toilet infrastructure, are preventing many girls from fully participating.
Girls’ Participation Matters
One of the main barriers to girls' participation in cricket is the lack of proper toilet facilities. For many teenage girls, menstruation is often stigmatized, and without clean, dignified facilities, they are left with no option but to avoid sports altogether. By refurbishing the toilet facilities at the PABI school ground, we can make a powerful statement: women and girls are valued in cricket. This is about creating a safe, clean, and respectful environment that encourages teenage girls to continue pursuing their love of cricket without fear or embarrassment.
Aiming for the Cricket for Dignified Menstruation Cup – 8th December 2024
We are working to ensure that the facilities are up to standard in time for the second edition of the Cricket for Dignified Menstruation Cup on 8th December 2024. This event is more than just a tournament; it is a movement that highlights the importance of dignity and equality for women and girls. Having adequate toilet facilities is essential to making sure that all girls can participate in this landmark event, without any barriers holding them back.
How You Can Help
Your donation will directly contribute to the refurbishment of the toilets, ensuring that they are clean, safe, and accessible for everyone who uses the ground. Any additional funds raised will be used to maintain these facilities year-round, providing a lasting impact on the community.
By contributing to this cause, you are not just supporting a cricket ground—you are advocating for gender equality, dignity, and the future of women’s sports in Nepal.
