Ickenham Ladies 6 aside in aid of Cricket Without Boundaries
On May Day Bank Holiday Monday, Ickenham Ladies CC held their annual 6 aside ladies cricket tournament raising money for their two chosen charities Cricket Without Boundaries and CURA UK.
Tracey Seaman, three times CWB volunteer and Ickenham all-rounder, spoke passionately about the work that CWB does to all in attendance. Eight teams from the London and South East area took part in the tournament, to win the sought after kudos of being the 6-aside champs for this year, as well as taking home the trophy.
Umpiring and Scoring duties were undertaken by the Ickenham Ladies Team, as well as CWB stalwart Liam Burnell. The final was tightly fought between defending champions Hursley Park and Wanstead CC, with Wanstead CC winning the tournament on the final ball.
The tournament raised over £600 to be split between the two chosen charities.
