We work in partnership with local delivery partners: cricket associations, foundations and sport for development organisations, so our work fits alongside and supports existing sports structures, growing the game and ensuring sustainability.
It is central to our work that local coaches are empowered to lead coaching sessions and identify local health or social issues that can be discussed throughout so that all sessions provide high quality coaching and a safe place for participants to discuss issues that impact their lives. A key part of CWB's work is running ICC Certified coach education sessions for existing and new coaches.
We bolster our partners’ delivery capacity by providing grant funding to employ CWB Ambassadors, who work to achieve CWB’s goals year-round. CWB volunteers support all aspects of CWB’s delivery and provide vital capacity at mass participation events to ensure that Cricket Without Boundaries’ activities are truly inclusive and “without boundaries”.
Capacity building of community leaders, teachers and coaches to deliver cricket-for-good in their community.
Delivery of a year-round programme of school-based cricket-for-good coaching.
Providing volunteer support for mass-participation activation events and competitions in communities.
Integrated learning is delivered year-round, by Ambassadors, partner organisation coaches and CWB Volunteers, to help achieve the health and social aims of each project.
Adapted games, active group discussions, and education using metaphors from the game of cricket, work together to create an environment where players learn from their coaches and peers, and coaches learn from their players.
